The Texas Renaissance Festival is a great way to have family fun. Your family can spend the entire day experiencing life in the 16th century. You can enjoy 55 acres of great food, fun games, entertaining shows and a wide variety of shops.
We arrived at the fest around noon and stayed until about 5 p.m. We had a great time and will definitely return in the future. I would highly recommend going to www.texrenfest.com and planning your visit.
My family really enjoyed the Clan Tynker Family Circus and the Joust by the Hanlon-Lees Action Theater. Click here for the full schedule of entertainment options. The shows are only offered at certain times and not all are appropriate for children.
In addition to the shows, I enjoyed going into all of the different shops. I definitely got a couple of ideas for my Halloween costume next year. My whole family enjoyed eating turkey legs. We also had the delicious apple dumplings with ice cream in the Italian Village.
The last days of the festival are Nov. 23, 24 and 25. The hours are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
