We love Angry Birds. We also love Peeps. Combining the two into an edible Easter project was so much fun!
Everyone is making edible Peep bird houses right now. They are all so cute.
We decided to make bird houses with our Peeps. Instead of doing a typical bird house design with a peaked roof, we made a simple square shaped house.
Here are the ingredients we used to make the Angry Birds style Peep house.
We used lime and orange flavored Peeps, graham crackers, edible Easter grass and Betty Crocker cookie icing.
You can use Peeps and Easter grass in your favorite flavors. Also, this type of cookie icing is pretty important. It is the only icing I’ve found that will hold the graham cracker structure together.
Peep Bird House Angry Birds Style Instructions
Separate two graham crackers into squares.
Place one square on a flat surface (I used a plate).
Line two sides of the square with frosting.
Attach two squares to the line of frosting to serve as bird house walls.
Hold in place for about a minute until set. Allow to dry and harden for about 10 minutes.
Once dry, line the tops of the walls with icing.
Top with a rectangular graham cracker.
Allow to completely dry and harden.
Use the edible Easter grass to form a small nest. Place in the bottom of the house.
Top the nest with a Peep.
Place a Peep on top of the house.
That’s it. Once you’ve finished you will have a super fun Peep bird house that looks just like the Angry Birds game.
Your kids will love making this fun bird house with Peeps.
