If you like rice krispie treats, check out my peanut butter chocolate version. They are the ultimate variation of the classic rice krispie treats.
Rice krispie treats are one of my favorite desserts. They are so easy to make and taste amazing. I am a huge fan of the classic recipe. However, sometimes, I want something a little different.
I love chocolate and peanut butter. I cant think of a better flavor combination. I used these two ingredients to create amazing peanut butter chocolate rice krispie treats.
I know a lot of peanut butter chocolate rice krispie treats are peanut butter treats topped with a layer of chocolate. But, I’m not a huge fan of the hard layer of chocolate on top of the treats. I would rather have a peanut butter treat with a little bit of chocolate spread throughout it.
To get this incredible flavor combination, I add mini chocolate chips to peanut butter rice krispie treats. The result is a chewy marshmallowy peanut buttery treat with tiny pieces of chocolate in it.
I love that the chocolate maintains a somewhat melted consistency in these treats. The result is a gooey peanut butter rice krispie treat filled with threads of melted chocolate. They taste really delicious!
