One Busy Day is a great book for young readers. The main character in this book, Mia, wants to play with her big brother, Spencer.
Like most older brothers, Spencer is always too busy to play with the little girl. As a result, Mia decides that she can play by herself. She paints, dances, explores and bakes in the kitchen. She does a great job having fun alone. However, she still wants to play with her older brother.
With a little imagination, Mia tries to show Spencer that they would have more fun if they played together. Spencer finally notices that he is missing out on a lot of fun with his sister.
The two have all sorts of fun. Together, they embark on wild adventures by using their imaginations. They even battle creatures in front of a castle!
This book is beautifully illustrated. I love that the story text is large and simple. My daughter enjoyed reading this book. Although she doesn’t have any siblings, she still loved the story.
Lola M. Schaefer, the writer of this book, is an award winning author. Jessica Meserve is the illustrator. This book is published by Disney Hyperion Books. It is available now.
