Frosted Chocolate Cake Mix Pancake Recipe

My daughter loves pancakes. She can eat them for any meal. So, I decided to ramp up her her favorite pancakes and create something truly amazing.

I took a box of chocolate cake mix and turned it into the most incredible pancakes. Seriously.

To complete the decadent stack of chocolate pancakes, I topped them with frosting. On top of that, I placed M&Ms. I put all of my daughter’s favorite things on a plate for breakfast.

You can imagine her face when she spotted this stack of pancakes waiting for her at the table. It was memorable.

Chocolate Cake Mix Pancake Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1 box of chocolate cake mix
• 1 cup flour
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 1/4 cup oil
• 2 eggs
• 2 cups of milk
• 1 can of frosting
• M&Ms

Instructions:

1. Combine the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
2. Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl.
3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. (It is OK if the batter is lumpy).
4. Heat a skillet on medium high.
5. Add 1 tsp. of oil.
6. Cook the pancakes thoroughly on each side (1-2 minutes).
7. Put the frosting in a microwave safe dish and heat for 10 seconds. It should have a slightly runny consistency.
8. Pour the frosting over the stack of pancakes.
9. Top with M&Ms.

This pancake recipe is so easy and delicious. You can customize it to your preferences by changing the frosting flavor. If you are not a fan of frosting, you could top them with powdered sugar. The pancakes also taste incredible without any toppings.
