I love these paintings of French scenery that my grandmother picked up overseas after World War II. At the time, she and my grandfather, a U.S. Army officer, were stationed in Germany. These paintings hung in her house for many years until she gave them to my parents to hang in their house. The paintings were given to me when I went off to college. Although they are old and chipped, they are prominently displayed on a wall in my home. Since they are so old, I hung them on a wall that is not impacted by direct sunlight. I encourage everyone to incorporate important family antiques into their own decor.
