School starts next week. I cannot believe summer is almost over. I’m already trying to get organized so that we can easily transition into the school year.
School mornings can be hectic. Between getting my daughter dressed for the day and making her lunch, there isn’t a lot of time left for anything else. Plus, I drive my daughter to school, so I also have to get myself ready in the morning.
Preparing a wholesome and hearty breakfast can be challenging with very limited time. I’m so excited about Quaker® Real Medleys® Granola & Yogurt Blend. It really couldn’t be any easier to prepare this amazing breakfast option.
All you have to do is open the container, add cold milk and stir it. It’s that simple. Quaker® Real Medleys® contain wholesome granola, shelf-stable yogurt, real fruit and crunchy nuts (depending on your flavor choice). Each cup includes 25 grams of whole grains and 10 grams of protein when you add a half cup of skim milk.
I took my daughter to Walmart to pick up this exciting new product. It is available in three flavors: Strawberry Almond, Apple Cinnamon and Raspberry Pecan.
When we entered the store, I was happy to see that Walmart was offering samples of the yogurt cups. Since I havent seen a product like this before, I couldn’t wait to try the different flavors.
We really enjoyed trying all of the flavors. The yogurt, granola and fruit come together for an incredible eating experience. The sign at the demo was correct. This eating experience can be described in three words: crunchy, cool and yum!
My daughter is a very picky eater. I was surprised when she wanted to eat the rest of my sample! You know I’m a happy Mom. I found something wholesome that she will actually eat for breakfast.
To find this product, we headed to the ready-to-eat cereal aisle. In my store, they were easily visible on a top shelf.
We picked up a couple of containers and headed home. My daughter couldn’t wait to mix up her own Quaker® Real Medleys® Granola & Yogurt Blend.
She chose to prepare the Apple & Cinnamon flavor. We both thought it tasted like apple crisp. It was incredibly delicious.
For me, I had a great idea to turn the Strawberry & Almond flavor into one of my favorite breakfast treats, an overnight chia pudding.
I love Quaker® Real Medleys® because I can easily turn them into chia pudding without a lot of prep work.
Quaker® Real Medleys® Granola & Yogurt Chia Pudding
Ingredients:
- 1 Quaker® Real Medleys® Granola & Yogurt Blend
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 tsp. chia seeds
Instructions:
1. Add the milk to the yogurt cup.
2. Add the chia seeds to the yogurt cup.
3. Stir to combine.
4. Put the container in the refrigerator overnight.
5. Eat the next morning.
This chia pudding is really delicious. The strawberries, almonds and granola create an amazing flavor combination.
